The Devil's Due
Howdy Pardner.
Its October 1846 and you find yourself in Colina Sagrada, a town in Santa Fe Territory at the onset of the Mexican-American War. Weird part, you don’t remember much between August, when Gen. Kearney arrived in town to claim the Province from Gov. Armijo. Everyone seems dandy with the peace in the northern part of the province but you have a feeling things are about to get weirder.
One thing you noticed, the town bird seems to be the crow and there seems to be a fair amount of them, no one else is observing how odd this is. Another thing, like most towns out here along the Santa Fe Trail, coyotes come around at night, just these black coyotes don’t yip and chatter like most coyotes but remain deathly silent as they watch and wait for scraps. On top of all that is you barely recall home at all aside from how or why it is you came to Colina Sagrada. At least you don’t intend to sit tight and see how this unfolds, you’re down right curious to figure out what’s going on around these parts.
Devil's Due is an alternate history related to the Capture of Santa Fe in Aug 1846, we've renamed the town to support our fictional storyline. While it opens up ordinary enough, it will turn darker towards supernatural as things progress. Something of a weird west theme and genre. Characters will gain supernatural abilities as we progress and even access to magic as they explore their own dark histories while threats continue to loom over the inhabitants of our little town.
Trigger Warnings: This is a dark supernatural theme. Recurring Triggers on wiki and in game include Graphic Violence, Gore, Religious Overtones, Supernatural Themes, and Death.
