Born on Leonis, Mira had been afforded nearly any opportunity that she had wanted. The finest schools that Leonis had to offer, as were the finest mentors. She grew up in a family that had excelled itself in business. She was afforded time and attention on understanding people and interaction. She was also put into several boarding schools that would better allow her to exceed her potential. It was a surprise to the family when she found an interest in medicine, but not unwelcome. She had enjoyed helping people, and found that the life of a doctor - at the end - fit well with what she had grown accustomed to. She applied her studies in biology and chemistry. These allowed her to know the human body intricately, and assisted her when she had decided she wanted to become a surgeon.
College had presented her with another interesting facet, outside the regalness of Leonis - she found several of the less desirable traits many would have. She found a love of both drinking and Gambling - though this would never interfere with her studies, she did apparently have a badside.
What may have been an unwelcome surprise would be her joining the Leonis defense fleet. However, join she did and her family did eventually come around to accepting it. She served her formative years on Leonis proper on various bases. She had taken a specialty in surgery, and her skills were often needed. However, you can't be in the Navy and not serve aboard a vessel, generally atleast. She found herself assigned to an Escort Carrier. She served diligently. Little did she know that this would be one of the defining moments in her career.
The First Cylon war had begun while she was assigned to the ship. The Colonial's were caught completely off guard. The ship she was on would take massive damage as they tried to stop the onslaught. The attacks would find the medical personnel either dead or completely preoccupied. She had found herself in charge when the Captain of the ship was wheeled in. A piece of the Dradis had exploded and lodged itself into his torso. He had to be operated on immediately. With noone else with as much experience as her, she had prepped for surgery and was able to save his life. While she would say it was 'lucky', this moment would spread through the Leonis defense force and follow her into the colonial fleet when it was formed not much after that. The feisty doctor who was able to save the life of the Captain at a critical moment.
It wasn't long after that till she had been transferred back onto Leonis, and ultimately the Timber Wolves. This is where she would find her most challenging moments yet.
The pale woman before you stands at 5'7". Her hazel eyes always show just the faintest hint of mirth, even in the bleakest of times. The nordic features of her face show that of Caprican descent. Her fiery red hair curls down her shoulders when not tied up for work. Her body type is somewhat wiry - showing the woman's job is not that of the warrior, but a desk job. She is generally in the standard Colonial uniform.
